Facebook Is Free And Always Will Be

There’s yet another scam circulating the news feeds of Facebook users. Unlike some other recent scams, this one is harmless. You don’t have to get in panic mode.  Your personal data is safe.

The scam is just a chain message, claiming the upcoming changes to Facebook will also come with a cost—a charge for membership. This is absolutely not true. Facebook is free and it always will be. It even says so right on the login page, right after the words “Sign Up”. If you don’t believe me go look for yourself. There is no * afterwards and a disclaimer below saying “*this is not true.” Believe it.

No one knows where the message began, or why it was created. This just shows how messages can quickly spread without confirming the info. This is nothing new when it comes to Facebook, or social media in general.

Free is good though. Like Facebook, here are 5 other things that will always be free.

1. Samples –Try before you buy. People love free. They also love products. Free samples are a win-win situation.

2. Smiles – Not only are they free, they are also infectious. Try giving one out, you’ll most likely get one back in return.

3. Hugs – Nothing says loving like some good hugging. They may take some effort but the cost is reason enough to give one (hint, they are free).

4. Air – we breathe it, trees make it, it’s all around us, we need it. Until we start living on the moon, air will be free.

5. Facebook – I’m including this again. Why? To emphasize that Facebook will always be free.
