This is the portfolio website of Ryan Majeau (ryanmajeaudesign.com), based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This page explains what information the site collects and what happens to it.

What the site collects

• Contact form. When you send a message, the site collects your name, email address and message. It’s stored on this website and emailed to me so I can reply. I use it only to respond to you, and I never sell or share it.
• Blog comments. If you comment on a post, your name, email address, comment and IP address are stored. Comments may be checked by an automated spam filter (Akismet, by Automattic).
• Visitor statistics. Jetpack Stats (by Automattic) counts visits and shows which pages are popular. It processes your IP address and basic browser details, and I only see the totals.
• Security. The site is protected by a website firewall (Sucuri, through GoDaddy) and login protection. They process IP addresses and request details to block attacks.

Third-party services

Pages may load fonts and scripts from Google (including Google Fonts and Google reCAPTCHA), Automattic (Jetpack/WordPress.com) and Sucuri. These services may receive your IP address and set cookies under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

The site uses cookies it needs to work (for example, for logged-in administrators), plus cookies set by the services above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How long information is kept

Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to reply, and are deleted periodically. Statistics and security logs are kept by the providers above under their own policies.

Your choices

You can ask what information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by sending a message through the contact form on this site.

I may update this page from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
