Designed: March/April 2000

Materials: Plastic and Rubber casing around circuitry.

Challenge: To create an MP3 player

Solution: The Aquasonix MP3 player is a water-safe product that is able to withstand underwater conditions for a short period of time. Its casing involves durable plastic and rubber grips to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. Easily identifiable controls can switch between radio and MP3 functions. A large LCD display has a dedicated battery level icon, and will switch displays between radio station or current track with artist name, track name, and playback time. An adjustable strap is attached to the back to help stop accidental dropping of the unit, and a removable rechargeable battery pack is also mounted on the back.
